I thought I'd share these because I like them, I had fun doing them, and they'll probably never be finished, so what the hey! They are rough pages for an "origin" story I was working on for Delilah Dirk.
The images below are scans of the large-format, blue Col-Erase roughs I had started making for the story. The scans look crap because A) The pages were *just a tad* too big for the scanner, and B) I had to pump up the levels to make the blue lines ledgible. Even so, it's near impossible to read.
Here's how the story would have unfolded: Naive guard Selim reports to his superior. An infidel has been captured intruding on the palace. It's Delilah! Selim brings the shackled Delilah a pot of fresh tea, and Delilah is won over by the quality of the tea Selim has made. Selim reads a report to his superior on Delilah's character, handily outlining her back-story. As he finishes, an escaped Delilah smashes through a window in front of them. She runs off, and Selim is carted off to be beheaded. As he's sweating it on the block, the executioner suddenly crumples to the ground. Delilah has returned, and frees Selim! They slice through a swarm of extras, and finally escape in the crowd of the streets. Selim asks why she would save him, and she replies that he "makes good tea". They hop in Delilah's floating aeroplane machine and fly off. Ta-da.

I cleaned up the first one and realized it would make more sense to clean them up AFTER I had roughed them all out, fixing all the mistakes with a more objective view.

Here's another Delilah image I found, blessedly cleaner than these!

HOLY TRASH! This is awesome. Your characters remind me of a Disney movie, you;ve got so much style and personality behind everyone. It just looks so animated. This is really awesome. You ever going to ink these?

These drawings are all so perfect!

I haven't seen Flight 3 yet, but I saw the color proofs for your story, and I am sure that you're going to be a comics star in a couple weeks, Tony!

Time... i just need some TIME!!! Heh heh, thanks guys.

I'm thinking... if I DID finish it, how would I go about finding someone to pay me to do some more stories?

Oh, and hey - does anyone live in/have friends living in Turkey or Greece? I need to do some research.

Yeah, I second all that, fantastic Euro style, man, insanely good caracter acting...and the environments, Holy-moly! Damn near to what I consider perfect comic book art. To see these coloured up ala Ring Circuis would be an absolute treat!

VERY inspirational!

Lorenzo!
