Raymond Chandler film-noir set in high school. Cool cars, Femme Fatales, and quick banter!

Loved it! Anyoen else see it?

Nope, not yet. From what I've read about it, the film does sound interesting though. I'll put it on my list of of films to look into. I'm currently watching a bunch of solid classic films to help me refocus Amulet's narrative...

I saw it last weekend and it's one of the more "interesting" films i've seen in awhile. To set a film noir detective story in a high school setting is genius! It's got some sweet dialogue and the acting is just perfect for this genre.

I saw a matinee of it last weekend!

It's not bad. The stylish cinematography and graphic matching were really nice, and I liked the whole Sam Spade dialogue premise (it's nice to see a movie take some risks). The story itself could have had a stronger ending though.

It's worth seeing.

I really enjoyed this film. Best thing I've seen in 2006. I'm thinking of doing a "Brick" convention sketchbook. These characters are so visually interesting. I love "The Brain" with his rubix cube.

I'd agree. The ending dragged a little. They could've cut a scene here or there.

One of the best films I've seen in quite a long time. Just so freakin' cool.

I finally got around to seeing this. Oh my goodness that's a cool movie. Not only does in perfectly understand all those old detective movies, but it perfectly understands and portrays teenager-ness as well. Even down to using "at" at the end of sentences and using duct tape to patch up clothes. And eating breakfast cereal at mom's house. Next time I'm writing a story set in high school I will have to watch this movie three or four times to get my head in the right frame of mind.
