Don't know if anbody has ever posted about this guy, but he and his band are awsome. Kind of a folk/indie/fantastic band.

Really love this band, worth checking out.

I'm pretty sure there has been a Sufjan topic on here before...but yeah he's really an amazing musician. Anyone know when the Rhode Island EP is gonna be released?

my sweet-indie-tunes-loving-ex-boyfriend.

I actually go to school in RI, so an ep for my humble little state would be excellent.

ALSO any tour dates besides the big show in Chicago? :( I've missed him every time hes been in MI.

Pitchfork is reporting that he and Denison Witmer recorded some songs with Rosie Thomas.

Got Illinois on New Year's Eve, in a record shop in downtown Annapolis (Oceans II) that was having a big sale. Now it's my second favorite record to listen to. I really must get more of his stuff.

This is also the coolest song title I ever saw O_O

The b-sides are great. I love the other versions of Chicago almost as much as the first.

Hey that's great, I've heard a few of his Christmas songs here and there on the internet and they're really nice.

I also saw him on PBS's "Austin City Limits" (with Calexico) a couple days ago--it was the hip episode. It was nice to hear him with an orchestral backup (even if he forced them all to wear butterfly wings, hehe).

"That was the worst Christmas ever" is one of them, right? That's been my fave track on my itunes these days. And wow, it'll be a 5-disc set? That guy's been busy. He could have made a couple more albums to his 50 states project with that amount of effort.

He must live and breathe music, because he is supposedly working on his next album (while touring, while releasing Christmas songs, etc). I hope he gets as much out of his music as we do.
