Rosedragon

Here is a painting that is painted based upon the look of rosepainting, an old norwegian/scandinavian way to decorate diffrent things. How does it look?

Wonderful work. First impression was a sea dragon in magical waters. I wanted to see the feet as if the dragon was standing in a shallow wave.

I know that probably not what you intended, but that's the way I want to see it.

Btw, I love your style.

Very nice :D, reminds me of some of the scandinavian pots my parents had when I was a kid. Love the whispy detailing.

Thank you all !

ethe: I am only fakeing the rosepaintingstyle, if you want to see some real nice work, here is the website I looked at when painting to see how. I found out today that it was a Illinois Norsk Rosemaling Association where the website was. Here is the link: http://www.rosemaling.org/00ShowandSale05.htm

Nick: If your parents still have it and it is an old Norwegian decorated pot, it can be worth alot of money. So take care of it!

jshamblin: I didn´t think of it as water, but it is a great idea!

I am going to make some more of them, but the whispy detailing is a pain to paint.

Blom.
