Hey kids.

I figured I might as well ask you folk on this board... I've been sort of ham-handedly trying to organize a few writers and artists to contribute some guest strips for my site, mostly because it's been fairly quiet with my recent lack of updates due to other commitments and real-life stuff.

Interested? Since most of the comics on my site are in the form of a diary strip, the idea I had in mind was to use my "Melodrama Theatre" concept as a framework to tell some sort of silly story. You can use whatever characters you like -- yourself, characters from your own comics, inanimate objects -- heck, you can throw me into the mix if you like... Whatever you want. A typical size of the strip is 450 pixels wide, with a variable height.

A few people I know have already agreed to contribute a little something, and it's a wide range of artists and bloggers, which should make for an interesting cross-section of styles. I'm shooting for a deadline of October 12.

So what do you think? It'd be great to see you guys contribute something -- please email me (kean(at)keaner.net) or PM me, and let me know if you're interested.

Your comic is hilarious, Kean! I'll probably do something with my little icon dude to the left here.

Hey, that's great, Phil! If you're really pressed for time, October 19 would be just as good (enough people have agreed to do something for the first week).

I don't want to be speaking for some of the other people on this board, but a couple of them have tentatively agreed to do something as well. Maybe we could use this as a pre-Flight warmup? :)

(yeah, right. don't i wish...)

Okay, one more thing, and then I'll shut up.

I don't know how, but I've got a bunch more people (R Stevens, Les McClaine, Doug Holgate) that have tentatively agreed to say yes to doing a guest strip.

I'd invite the Pants Press crew to join in, but I'm awfully shy, and they're like, you know... the cool kids.

Hey, cool kids! This is my friend Kean. He's a really swell guy and he draws wonderful comics. Please consider drawing a comic for him, because, um, like I said, he's a really swell guy. And his avatar has no hair. Please make him feel like a cool kid, too!

How's that for an intro, Kean?
