Anyone? These guys are fairly new coming out of the UK, in which they are getting a major break at the moment. Kasabian's music is a blend of dance elements with a punk rock. May remind you a bit of The Music, but "softer" in tone... if I can say so!

Give it a try. You can sample the entire Kasabian album at their official site. Here's the direct URL link.

Thank you so much. This is everything the Killers wish they were, but are too preoccupied with being talentless.

Dude, you're from England, of course yah gotta heard of Kasabian ;) Over here in the States, I'm still waiting for a domestic release. So far the Import version is keeping me busy!

The following tracks are on my heavy rotation: "Cut Off", "Reason is Treason", and "LSF".

They're going to be here in town with The Music. What a combo!

OMG!!! I don't believe it! Once in a while a band completely escapes my attention and Kasabian has been one of them. I didn't realise their album was already out!! (Just checked their website) They've been going on about "Cut Off" coming out next week on the Radio and I just assumed that was the name of their album.

I don't remember seeing it in the charts over here and no one I know has mentioned them. They've been getting a lot of coverage with "Cut off" over here though...woah, I suddenly feel very much out of the loop! :)

*looks through wallet to ensure enough cash for immediate purchase*

I love their sound, so incredibly retro in places! I can't get over the fact I've completely missed this band up until now!

They're playing with The Music? Thats pretty sweet! ...what's The Music?

I forgot to add that "Club Foot" (Kasabian's first single) is my favorite of all. (How could I forget to mention that on my previous post?!).

"Cut Off" (now that I listen to it again) isn't my top, top favorite. Guh... well, then. The entire release is pretty good. Not a let down. I highly recommend it if you're into the dance-rock genre.

The Music is the band prior to Kasabian that are dance-rockers as well. I find that their first release, self-titled, is much more rockin' than the second "Welcome to the North". They're both excellent in their own way though. I recommend The Music as well if you like Kasabian.

I'll definitely have to track down their album tomorrow, I'll probably find it's been staring me right in the face all this time, now that I know what I'm looking for. Yeah thats probably what'll happen, I'll mention Kasabian to some of my mates and I can just see them turning around and saying "Yeah? They've been out for ages. You only just heard em?"

What I've heard so far is great.

Thankfully I know who The Music are, If I didn't know that either, then I think I'd be a lost cause! :D The Musics new album is pretty good stuff, I think Freedom Fighers is probably one of my favourite tracks. Kasabian and The Music sounds like a great combination! :D

Thanks for the recommendations.

No problem! I enjoy recommending others music I love to share, especially to others that are not from the States. It's as close as I can get to "travelling" in a non-literal term, particularly England! Haha.

I'm just a music junkie and I can't help being "up-to-date" with some of these bands.

Don't feel bad. I'm a bit out of the loop with certain bands and artists that others would go, "Where have YOU been?"

:D Thats the cool thing about music and art in general, it's one of those things that anyone, anywhere can appreciate.

The Kasabian Album is very cool. All the tracks are brilliant, Club Foot, Processed Beats, Reason Is Treason, Cutt Off; all big favourites. I love the interlude section, the music reminds me of the science programs I watched when I was at school - the kind that explain the wonders of magnesium... Well seeing as they're British I wouldn't be surprised if that was the inspiration for the interlude, all those cheesy BBC childrens learning programs.

Usually when I buy an album, theres only a couple of tracks that I'm really fond of, however I'm spoilt for choice with this one!
