I don't know how many people in the states actually know of MUSE, but there latest effort finally got released on Warner Brothers, and their first single Time is Running Out (that came out about a year ago in the UK) has been playing the past couple weeks on K Rock in NYC. They have three albums the first was released in the states and is called Showbiz, my favorite album Origin of Symmetry was not, and the newest is called Absolution.

The band consists of three members but the albums sound like there are at least five people in the band, The lead singer writes plays all guitar parts and keyboards. The lead singer sounds like Thom Yorke, but a more traditional voice (sorry i'm no good at explaining this). MUSE first album is like a Radiohead knock off on some tracks, but they are much harder and a lot more rock.

For more info and listen to tracks/watch videos here's the website http://muse.mu/

I've actually been listening to this album for the past few weeks now and it's pretty solid!

agree completely on this little tip off for those that have yet to hear Muse.
they are great.
put on one of best shows at this years Big Day Out here in Sydney. in my opinion only bettered by the Mars Volta and the Dandy Warhols at the festival.

plug in baby,
butterflies & hurricanes,
thy are my personal favourites.
i recommend them to anyone.
PS: #6 on origin of symetry also rocked...hard.

Edit: condolences to the drummer, he lost his father soon after a recent concert.

I got to know them through one of the Apple iTunes adds, I think that was Sunburn. Only know their Showbiz album...
