All right, fess up--you know you all saw this.
Heh heh--well, that's probably not true. Oh well--your loss!
Anyway, I saw the movie a couple of nights ago (with a fellow Flight member, haha--reveal yourself, comrade...)
It was good!
Good acting. Funny, well-written script. Cute girls. Need I say more? (Oh yeah, and Shannon Elizabeth was sitting behind me in the theater...
With her lame husband... --hehe

)
SO, as I was saying... Tina Fey of SNL wrote the script, her feature film debut--and I had read an article about the project in some writing magazine. Sounded interesting, and what with the pretty impressive box office performance, the hooks were in...
Overall, it was a quality film. Not the typical, stupid, asinine teen comedy. Lots of clever, subtle humor, and unique filmic touches. Fairly straightforward plot well executed. (Did I mention cute girls?)
One of the funniest characters was the Indian American captain of the Math Team (Mathletes)--a jive talking wannabe pimpster who recruits the main girl (Lindsay Lohan) for the squad.
And Tim Meadows, also of SNL, gives a hilarious deadpan performance as the fed-up principal of the high school.
It's a fun film that adds a touch of cleverness to the rapidly tiring teen comedy genre.
So see it!
(But I can't guarantee Shannon Elizabeth will be there. Sorry.)
Signed, with head held high,
