good grief, what an awful movie. the next time i have an urge to see the next 'epic' film, someone please slap some sense into me. you'd think i'd've learned after being bored halfway into the big battle scene of the last LOTR movie... i think perhaps there wasn't a single original idea in this movie that wasn't cribbed from any of the other big "epic" films.

zero redeeming factors in this movie. now if there was a scene where hector got extremely angry, turned big and green, and screamed "HECTOR SMASH!!," and legolas... er, paris, grabbed a bow and started shooting arrows at boromir... er, odysseus and achilles, then i felt like i might've got my money's worth.

as it was, there wasn't even enough homoerotic tension in this so called "greek" film to keep me happy.

i think ive decided not to see this film... the tv trailer says it all.
and i cant stop laughing when the guy says "(immortality) take it - its yours!" ~ i can just see a confused looking couple of OAPs stood together looking back at him. aah...
(does anyone know what i mean...?)

Gladiator people :!: That was a fair warning, atleast I think so.
DVD rental at best, sadly.

Yeah, I was fighting the urge not to walk out of the movie as well. I honestly wouldn't have gone to see this movie, but when you have free passes... well, it's really hard to say no to free stuff. :)

Since the time I got free passes to the Wild Wild West movie, I've learned better.

Wow that bad huh? I was still planning on seeing it, and I still may, but I'm getting more reluctant. It kinda screams 'made for tv movie' all over the previews. I was thinking "didn't hallmark already do this?"

One thing that made me laugh was the amount of ships in the sea... ok... can they really make that many tiny boats and do they really have that many people to fill them up? It seemed a bit obsurd to me. See what Braveheart did? Every other movie following has to have an even bigger battle to top the one before it!

Coheteboy -
I agree with you about the ships.
I thinking "sucky alert number one" during the previews.
Which is sad because I like Brad and Banna.

Kean -
Regardless of Free, it's long for a maybe.
But i have done my fair share of frees, so I should shut up.

Robothero -
Don't get me started on Wild Wild West man :) That'll lead me into my fully formed annoyance with Smith's acting of late. Oh How I thought he was fun back back back in the day. And now, I don't want to be mentioned of his crap or even get started on that topic. Poor Wild Wild West... Poor I Robot, and Sharks to mention just two others.

They took out all of the Gods from the story and crammed 12 years of story into 3 hours...along with takeing out one of the most important characters.

Now how are they going to make the sequals without the gods?...hmmm this will be interesting...

That's Funny as f' :!:
You have to post more if this is your flava.
And if so, You have some cool skills.
Anyhow, I heard a lot of people think and feel the same way.
Poor Pitt, Banna, & Cox. I guess this'll make it to the dvd rental's list. Which isn't all that bad, since I addictingly see just about every movie that hits my radar of interest in the theatres. It'll be nice to have something new at Blockbuster or friendly burn to look forward to & see at home, instead of renting & watching older movies that I missed when I was younger.

No no Mercury. This is not mine. I have no artistic skills whatsoever. My skill is posting links :P. It's www.pennyarcade.com. They have a tri-weekly comic and commentary on their site about video games, movies, and random topics. These guys rock! Something similar is http://www.pvponline.com/
