Hah! I love that Robin missed the shot. Much running right into the middle of the stadium naked and screaming with a post tied to his back was just priceless.

Your characters come through so strongly, and you weave the story around them so well! Look forward to having these all in a book.

Thanks Squirpy!

If any of you crazy kids are planning to be at Emerald City this weekend, keep an eye out for me. I'll be hanging out at the Cloudscape Comics booth part of the time and selling some of my comics.

All right. Spill it - your process. How many days a week do you work on this, Steve? Do you have a full time job? Do you have a time machine!?

Heh. At present, I don't have a job, so I've been doing extra comic pages to keep busy and catch up. This is rare for me, I've been working pretty much steadily in animation or videogames since 2000.

As far as my process, since I usually do the comic around my day job, everything is stripped down for speed. It usually takes about a solid evening for a page. Sometimes two, often on the weekend.

My story is plotted out in rough thumbnails, which change frequently as I re-examine the story or find better ways to get things across. I draw with a blue Colerase pencil on 11x17 printer paper (about 20lb I think) then ink with a Pentel Pocket Brush directly over top. Then I scan it into Photoshop, adjust levels and freehand draw my speech balloons on my Wacom tablet. Finally, I letter using mostly Blambot fonts.

And that's it. I hardly ever use the time machine anymore. :D
