Some one dumped a partial collection of SSOC and Conan Saga at my local comic shop, and I was in the right place at the right time- i have classic reading aplenty now for myself and my son (hes only 2, but seems to like the pictures so far...).

Anyone else here still read these golden oldies? It reminds me of the stuff i love about comics- narration, dialogue, prologues, epilogues, lots of text and lots of pictures. Sadly, thats kind of lacking in some of the new titles i collect. Hellboy is an example- i love the art, and the details of the storyline, but I can't honestly say that i think mignola breaks much of a sweat on them.

I love the style, and to be honest, can't believe they managed to pump these out once a month for 20 years- it kinda makes some of the modern comics producers look lazy by comparison.
