Hello there;
Sequel to my Far End chronicles finally begins, here are the first two pages.
You can expect weekly updates first, then monthly updates. I will publish here slightly bridged version -30 pages from 46-; final pages will hit in spring '09.. I have currently 13 pages completed.

It's all water colours. Enjoy.

EDIT: If you are keen on reading the first volume, [url=http://www.wowio.com/users/searchresults.asp?nGroupId=404]please buy the .pdf from wowio.com!

EDIT: And if you like this vol.2 and wish to support, please donate!

Was Falcor your model here? These feel like Luck Dragons.

I really like the frame where all the dragons are converging. Something about the tone of the writing and the images that doesn't quite mix for me. Not necessarily a bad thing, I may just need to build some familiarity with your story.

You are right, these were indeed inspired from luck dragons, as I kinda felt they've been too absent from popular culture lately. That was 7 years ago when I started to sketch the concept. (spirited away had not yet been released)

Quality of my translation (I did these first in finnish language) may also not be best possible, so that may contribute to the tone.

But you should be familiar to the story if you have read Volume 1 already.

I added the link to volume 1 to my first post, please start from there.
I recommend reading the volume 1 first to anyone who has not read these series yet.

Thanks for the comments!

All right, so you now you are going to ask me where are pages 5-8?

Well, this was made originally as 46 page story.

It is currently being published in local magazine here in finland as a serial, enabling me to paint this almost full-time.

Editor wanted me to cut off 15 pages (the horror!), so I removed most of them from the beginning.

I am now painting page 25.

There are 10 pages that exist only in sketched form.

I will make them next year when page 46 is ready.

They will be published probably in printed version, or then on my homepage.

Here, you will get the same version the magazine gets. Yes, I have right to publish them in the net, but only after the magazine.

This 'short' version should still be comprehensible, I hope =)

The translation does bother me. That's something you might want to work on (at least for the English version). But I like it. It looks good. I REALLY like the idea of Omeron.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! I am very much aware of the problem..

The only way to get proper translation is to get someone (who has english as native language) to proofread it. Last time I did it (with Far End vol.1) I had to wait for 8 months to get it back..and thats bit much.

So. I made this decision: As long as this comic as available as free of charge, I don't want to lose too much sleep over the quality of my translation.
When the day comes that I have enough money to self-publish and print it, I will also pay someone to proofread it for me in time :)

Pages 14 are 18 here. I tried my best with the translation, however it is very difficult to translate the exact tone from dialogue, and still keep the grammar all right.. :s

From now on, there will be bit less skipping with the plot. I will post pages 19 and 20 probably at the first weekend of may.

Here are pages 21 and 23. Next update on first week of July!
I'm also going to fix up the translation from earlier pages, I found someone who was willing to proof read these for me (yes I know, my translations are done in awful hurry & they suck sometimes a bit)

Thanks :)
It takes long time just to make one page, it will be next spring before last page lands here.
I hope you dont lose your interest before that..

Two new pages.
Wowio is going global next month (they say), so I may move the Vol.1 there - if platinum studios are able to keep things together, that is.

In the meanwhile, have fun with these:
