Hello Flighters,
My name is Mette and I'm from Norway, like Blom here.
I'm 24 years old and event though I took art as an extra in college and also took Illustration in 2004/05, I never really started drawing for my own pleasure and fun until 2 years ago. I joined the forum about a year ago, and it seems my posting rate is a bit high. ehe.

Anyway - I love art, I love how this forum have introduced me to so many great artists and people world wide. It has taught me so much, and will continiue to do so.
Love this forum, love flight and sectrely love kazu (non-creepy) for doing what he has done.

(:

My names Clark Filio, I just graduated high school in Cincinnati and im moving in september to attend the Art Institute of Boston (not affiliated with th AIs across the nation) for Illustration.

My highschool had some pretty uninvolved art teachers, so for the past few years ive been learning really from online communities, which is how I found my way here. Started taking a figure drawing class about 2 years ago from a community college here in town, which has also been awesome.

thas bout it

Greetings to all. ^___^
Let's see, I guess that I am the newest character to join. As for my background, I haven't had any formal education with art; mostly self learned through various means and above all praticing whenever I can. For my schooling, I love anthropolgy and studying about human intereactions with their surroundings; so I spend a large amount of time studying the past. Currently, still attending college. That's about it really.

Hi Everyone,

I'm a big fan of the books, and an aspiring comic creator myself, I look forward to learning from all of you and helping any way I can.

See ya around!

Hello everyone,

My name is Wing and am a huge fan of the Flight series. Currently I'm working as a VFX compositor but I enjoy drawing comics and illustrations on the side for fun. I have tons of art-related questions waiting to be asked, so I'm really glad I found this little(?) forum. :)

Hello, world. Name's TK—I am a freelance illustrator, published a handful of times, and seem to be some kind of perpetual student. I was in Sheridan's classical animation course for a couple of years, and am about to jump into the middle of the sequential illustration course at Max the Mutt here in TO. Exciting!

I like zombies, dragons, delicious food, and being awesome. (If you have any tips on how to achieve that last one, please advise.)

Howdy,

I don't know if I ever formally introduced myself. My name's Scott Hallett. I'm a software engineer with no formal art training. I've been making my own comics with varying degrees of success since as early as I can remember.

I've been a huge Flight fan since the beginning, and have been posting on the boards for about a year. The amount of artistic talent and storytelling prowess on this board is staggering. Truly inspirational.

Back to the drawing board...

Good day to you all!

I don't think I ever really introduced myself, either. I'm Al B. Moore. My profile says I joined here February of 2005, so I guess I've been posting here since then.

I'm a web/database programmer by day, and a webcomiker/artist by night (when I can find the time and not fall asleep).

Like everyone else, the amount of talent here on the Flight boards blows my mind on a regular basis. If you see my comment on your work, it will usually end up being something like "awesome" or "cool!", but you should always interpret that as meaning "that is one of the finest examples of artwork I have seen. The only way I can find to express my admiration is through clichéd one or two word exclamations. Never stop doing what you are doing."

Hi!

I'm Kim Herbst.

I'm new to the forum, but I've been a large fan of the Flight Volumes since they've been coming out. I actually had the great opportunity to meet many of the artists during San Diego's ComicCon this year while tagging along with Sarah Mensinga for the whole weekend :) (Thanks again!)

I'm a recent illustration grad who freelances for computer games and sometimes video games. Hopefully I'll have a few more comics out in the coming months; you can find my work on my website which should... be in my signature!

Thanks again to all the artists for telling their amazing stories with beautiful imagery!!

Hello people!
It will probably not come as a big surprise, but I'm also new at this forum!

My name is Tamara Havik and I discovered Flight about half a year ago and been checking out this forum once in a while ever since.

There are so many great artists and writers here that I'm almost intimidated... But since I'm an optimistic person I soon realised you all started out as a beginner as well and see where you ended up!

So here I am, a Dutch 26-year old first year Graphic Design student. I first finished a biology and science communication study before I realised I wanted to do something more creative: I'm planning to find a way to combine it all.

I'm a drawer of doodles, comics, designer of some websites and also addicted to reading and go (a game).

See you all around!

Hi, my name's Nathan Olsen and I'm an illustrator from Long Beach, California. I graduated with a BFA in Illustration from CSULB in 2000 and have worked ever since as an art director in advertising. (Not sure how that happened... :? ) Anyway, I returned to college life last year and am now working on my MFA in illustration and am also teaching part-time.

I've been looking for a good art forum to join and, from what I've seen so far, I'm getting a nice vibe from the crowd that hangs around here. I've been reading comics since I was kid and still dream of publishing my own someday.

I'll put up some of my own work soon.
