My Server is undergoing repairs so no posts today  maybe tomorrow.

Hi Steve and Og... thanks for reading!

In answer to your questions about how I work and do I have a master plan.

In part one I kind of had an idea of where I was going. I knew where it started and where it ended, but not really what was happening in between. I found it quite stressful working that way and had quite a few redraws. Which was not the point of eekeemoo at all. It is supposed to be a sketchy not overly worked story. One where the adventure is the most important thing.

So in the summer I scribbled out the whole story on A4 and split it out into four parts. So now have a clear path. However I do find that random things creeping in.

Part two (the part we are in now) is 25 pages long. The whole story is 100+ pages long... and todays post would have been page 38 if I could get into my server.

Maybe its a sign....

I like the shading. Can you tell me about your working methods? -- Or, maybe you have already done that in another post?

Hi there, I have just posted updated page 41 of my online sketch book adventure/comic eekeemoo.

Thanks for reading Andrew. In answer to your question.

I started doing Eekeemoo as a reaction to my other more slow detailed drawings in Kiboko ( I will post some examples soon).

I have three rules that I try to stick to. They are (1) Try draw it in a night, (2) try not redraw and (3) remember that the story is king not the drawing. With part one I drew it in a Moleskine. For part two I tear off two long sheets of Arches paper and draw and shade with a 2b pencil. Then colour it in with 'Black Magic' ink and then scan it. I then lay it out in photoshop and add any white. Then save it as a jpg and post it.

There you have it... an insight into my strange drawing life.

Those are good "rules" to go by. I think one of the frustrating things about trying to have a comics making life even after the day job is getting bogged down in slow niggling processes. I think when I set deadlines for myself my work actually has more life. Plus, it's just frustrating to spend a whole month trying to finish one page.

It seems to me you're doing something no one else is doing with the long vertical layout and silent, symbolic representations.

I enjoyed reading the Butternut interview on your site. I'd like to see some of your Kiboko as well.

Looks great! I like the look of determination. I think he's trying to start a fire, right?

Hi there, I have just posted updated page 43 of my online sketch book adventure/comic eekeemoo.

Thanks Andrew. Yep he is trying to light a fire. I'm afraid it gets dark from here on in not even fire is going to help him ! :( But things get lighter in part three. :)

These are really fun. I like the format too. It makes me feel like I'm traveling down through the cave. I'm a big Zelda fan, so I'm a sucker for adventures in caves and dungeons. :)

Thanks for reading Kazu I love Zelda too, though I don't get to play much these days!
