For Challenge #6, starting Feb 12, 2007:

It finally got wintry cold in this part of the world. And so as in many Februaries before, my thoughts turn to when it's going to get warm again. What better way to warm the fingers on a cold night than by grabbing the pens and scribbling up a touch of heat?

Quote:
HEAT - Wallow naked in December snow By thinking on fantastic summer's heat?- Shakespeare, Richard III, Act I, Sc 3

Rules for participants:

1. This challenge is open to anyone.
2. Illustrate the concept in any way of your choosing... still pic, sequential art, animation...
3. Post your piece below. (I suggest only the final piece. If we post WIPs in this thread, it's liable to become unweildy.)
4. Have fun!

NOTE: Next challenge starts Monday, Feb 26, 2007.

BUMP. Changed topic from Hawaii to Heat. Was receiving complaints about the overly-specific nature of the topic. Happy drawing!

Hmm...now my WIP is more Hawaii specific than heat specific...back to the drawing board.

Here's mine - I chose to make a little comic out of my sisters favourite joke as a kid. She told this one to every grown up and they laughed and she thought it was because it was the greatest joke every. It really was because she was lisping and it sounded so cute. :p

well - here's to the greatest joke in the world (sorry for the side scroll)!

thanks for keeping up with this, Steven. :) Its slow now, and not really anyone participating, - but it might build up to something in the future! :)

Oh MY!!!

heh heh

You're really flexing those sequential muscles now. Good to see.

I gotta get off my hump and do one of these soon. Thanks for helping keep it going...

I had started mine when the challenge was still 'Hawaii', but even then I was playing pretty loose with the theme. That being said I don't know if mine fits anymore, but here it is:

Nah. You've still got heat there, Scott... I'd take battling that octomonster over slipsliding on the ice here today, so it works.

Ah. Volcanic island.... *eyes closed, dreaming of Kona...*

Nice, original take on the subject in either case.

This is really good - and scary, scott.
I especially like the angle and the fog on the water. Nice colours too. :)

Thanks for the comments on my comic, everyone. The funniness has to be credited my sister. ;)

Soo, did a quick sketch too. I actually wanted to add colors but it didn't look good, so here goes black and white.

thanks steve,
I'll keep practicing with those colors. Until then, little dino will have to get by in black and white, a missing finger and a massive toe.
