*snicker* I didn't ruin anything. Anybody that's played Chrono Cross and has met Guile knows the Magus = Guile debate, which isn't even that big of a deal because you can go through all of CC and not know who Guile is at all. I didn't tell you who the secret boss was, and I didn't say what actually happens just what it brings up. It's like me saying that Casino Royal brings up the question of the Bond Timeline. You'll still have plenty of fun with the boss and the new ending will still rock your socks, especially if you're a CC fan, and if you're not, it will make you want to play CC even more.
*looks around* You know what, I'm going to make a Chrono thread.

ooo I think I'll just avoid the spoilers for now.
I too have been playing the old school games... Blaster Master, Mega Man 5, and Super Metroid. Its been so long I've forgoten things. I tried the first Legend of Zelda though... I still know where to use the candle to burn every bush to get rupees... and every place to use bombs. I was surprised I could still remember it all.
8-bit forever!!!!

Well, I've played part of chrono cross, and trigger certainly didn't know anything about that.dark77778 wrote:*snicker* I didn't ruin anything. Anybody that's played Chrono Cross and has met Guile knows the Magus = Guile debate,
This is what gets to me sometimes. People thinking they know what can be considered a potential spoiler and what's not for other people.which isn't even that big of a deal because you can go through all of CC and not know who Guile is at all.
For me, and i'm probably in the minority, but other than a vague story synopsis to let me know what it's about, i really don't want to know anything about a game until i've come across it myself. You might not have given away anything about the secret boss, but you did give away parts of the game story and that was my point.
In the future, please mark it as a spoiler beforehand just to be on the safe side.
man, I think I could go through Super Metroid with a blindfold on. I've beaten that game at least 8 or 9 times. Maybe I'll boot that up again this weekend...what an awesome game.matthewart wrote:ooo I think I'll just avoid the spoilers for now.

No worries stick I'll try to be more careful next time. I know other people who have that total anti-anything spoiler mentality and I end up getting into the same sort of trouble with them (usually about the Chrono games too...go figure), I just have a different sense of spoiler is all and coming from somebody who has played the game so much, I guess I just have a looser sense of spoilerness. Hope you still enjoy the game at least.

Heheh. You know, I actually started playing video games again as "research". I bought a 360 to see why so many people were talking about the revolutionary storytelling in BioShock. It was great, but not all that revolutionary. For better or worse, my brother-in-law got me to play Halo 3 online (after I bought the game for "research"), and now that game has become a part of my daily life. Sigh...

Yeah, I tried Bioshock as well and I wasn't all the impressed. I found the Big Daddy's to be really annoying and repetitive and just gave up.Kazu wrote:Heheh. On the other hand, I loved Dead Space. It's a similar kind of FPS but it's way more polished and fun to play (I thought).
I've been playing Chrono Trigger on the DS. I didn't realize they re-wrote the entire script for the game! Combined with the inclusion of the animated cutscenes from the PSone version, it really makes the DS version the definitive version of the game. I'm loving every minute of it.
I've also been playing a lot of Halo 3. I guess you could call it training...
