Wouldn't matter. Anthony Bourdain would come in, stoned and drunk out of his mind, cook circles around them, and then proceed to kick both their scrawny British arses.

(give Kitchen Confidential a read some time. Entertaining and edumacational.)

Your right...he probably would. Knife fight, kick they're asses then do something horrible to the clam chowder. Though i would hope he would be a gentleman and escort Nigella out of the building to a cab.

Okay...round 2 -
Anthony Bourdain vs Gordon Ramsay
Remember though Ramsay is from Glasgow and used to play proffesional football.

In terms of cooking abilities, I would say Bourdain by a nose -- mostly because of his more extensive cooking experience (and even this is debateable -- I've never tried any of Ramsay's food or recipies). In terms of ass-kicking abilities, it'd have to be Ramsay the Notorious all the way.

Gordon out muscles Bourdain...a great culinary battle topped off by a supreme head nut from Ramsay to floor the American Skeleton.

Next Challenger?

Gordon Ramsay is the carry over Champion...who dares to take on the Glaswegian?
Any takers?

Round 3: the upstart Gordon Ramsay vs. master chef Thomas Keller.

Will it be brains or brawn that decides this challenge?

Ramsey, still wiping Bourdains' blood from his forehead is startled when the new challenger steps up and throws his famous beetroot powder in his eyes momentarily blinding him.

Ramsey, swearing black and blue, mistakenly pours creme pattissiere over his atlantic salmon instead of buerre blanc and has to forfiet.

Kellor advances to Round four on the strength of his beetroot powder and a truffled egg.

Oooh, I would literally kill to be on the panel of judges for this match-up.

I honestly wouldn't know who would win in this one. Both are outstanding French chefs, and while Keller is definitely the underdog to Robuchon, could his more contemporary flair and style trump out Robuchon? I would have to say Keller by a nose hair.

Ooooh, but maybe it's to close to tell. We may require a tie-breaker... Anyone else care to jump in on this?

(I don't make it a secret that one of my life goals to travel down to Napa Valley, get a reservation at The French Laundry (a four-month wait list), and spend far too much money on the food and wine there).

Hey, that's really good, Marmax.

Anyone been watching the new Iron Chef America season lately? It really bugs me that all the episodes are so blatantly rigged. Some the the dishes by the Japanese chefs by far outshine the American chefs, just in terms of creativity and presentation, and yet the dumb Americans still win. I'm a little bitter about it, actually.

I love that, marmax! It has an animator's flavor to it... you're not an animator are you?

Kean -
My main man David Fincher has that book in mind for a film adaptation called "Seared." Pitt (as Jake Casdin) & Del Torro (in an unknown role) were expected to act in it, but Pitt has since dropped out and Del Torro has gone ghost from the project. Sad stuff, would have been cool to see this for sure. Oh well, at least Del Torro is finally going to do the movie he was made to do, "CHE" with Steven Soderbergh.

Anyhow, I have been curious to read this book after my friend, who's a chief, told me his stories in "Kitchen Land."

Marmax -
That drawing rocks. Went to the site thinking "They must have done a Link drawing somewhere in their life." and what do you know, a Link sketch was pimped on there. Your style is super cool. I would love to see more. Are you in a comic project right now :?:

I haven't really seen much of the Iron Chef America season. I don't think it's as good.

Johnny Mercury: Yeah of course I have a Link drawing! :D I did a story in the Super Comic Buffet anthology for AYCE Comics http://www.aycecomics.com/. That's about it right now...
