Nick Drake - Pink Moon

I imagine a lot of the Copper stuff to be set to his music, actually...

Basement Jaxx - Kish Kash

Anyone who doesn't want to just get up and dance their faces off to the opening track ("Good Luck") must either be dead, or a cold soulless robot.

Mr. T experience - tapin' up my heart

I just got up, and I needed something to make me dance. It's working.

Huzzah! Just thought I'd share some of the stuff I've been listening to this morning, since some of you might be interested in some of the tunes here (these links will point you to the MP3s in question):

- The latest Modest Mouse single, "Float On" (yeah, I actually like this single.)
- Belle & Sebastian's "I'm A Cuckoo" (Avalanches remix)
- A couple of covers by Death Cab's Ben Gibbard

...and also a bunch of great albums:

- Air's Talky Walky (check out Alpha Beta Gaga. It's fantastic.)
- TV on the Radio's Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes (sample a track here)
- Thea Gilmore's Avalanche (no MP3s of hers anywhere to be found. The CD arrived in the mail this morning. A great singer/songwriter in the Dylan/Mitchell/Waits mold -- hard to believe she's only 24 and this is already her fifth album. Read more about her here.)

I had a bad day at work, and nothing changes a bad disposition like:

Fishbone - Bonin' in the Boneyard (to be followed up by their cover of What's New Pussycat they did with Los Fabulous Cadillacs)

Man, now I feel like drinking too much and dancing the night away!

Overdosing on the music here. Listening to a mix of live Pixies, Cat Power, Nirvana, Sleater-Kinney, and a bunch more, all taken from Indie Pop Live.
