Alright, whooo's got a soft spot for Morrissey (or The Smiths)? He's in Lollapalooza this year, and he's got a new album coming out:

I think it's been more than 10 years since his last...

one of my roommates is obsessed with Morrissey. He just loves the guy, and the smiths. I have been having a hard time getting into him, though i must admit, i haven't sat down and really tried hard to like him. i don't dislike him though! i just haven't caught the Morrissey bug yet i guess......

Feh. Why do you need new bands? Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact.

Finally heard the album yesterday. It's really, really good. Very melodic, and some great lyrics really popped out at me -- and this was just on the first listen. Probably his best album since Vauxhall and I.

Don't worry youth is not totally waisted... I love Morrisey with all of my body, even my guts and my pee pee.
The new album is pretty good, I am still in love with the Smiths Singles album...

Well I was trying to download the album back in May, not to shortchange Morrissey, but because I just had to hear it, and it wasn't available to buy yet... One of the songs I got, "Slum Mums," didn't actually make it to the album; I guess it's an outtake--but man I think it's one of the best of the new songs! Has anyone heard it? It's got this really 80's synthesizer sound to it which is probably what got it 86'ed, but I think it's so darn catchy and delightfully simple.
