Excellent illustration today, Pascal! The eyes on the flag is a nice touch.

Although, having just read a book on pirate history, I shudder to think what this crew will do to the woman once they have her on board Image

I really hope to see a movie, or at least a book, in your unique style someday.

How do you work out your color pallets?

Do you play around till something comes out right?

Developed a mind for it?

Referance templates/color index?

Combination/something else?

I ask, because I don't think I've ever seen a color pallet from you that I didn't like.

I assume, just time and experiance have a lot to do with it, but do you have a proccess for it, or innitialy did you? Would love to hear your thoughts on color theory.

This is probably my favorite piece I've seen from you in a while; really excellent stuff. The detail and energy from all those pirates is really cool. I too would would like to hear your color-choosing process, your pallets are awesome. Might I suggest, however, that you emphasize the girl a bit more, maybe with a skin color other than blue so that she doesn't blend in with the barrels and water so much.

I like what you're trying to hint with the pirates noses :P
