El Mariachi del amor...

Post by douglas a. bot » Mon Mar 15, 2004 12:08 am

I got a bunch of little things i need to catch up on now my time is freed up for a week or so.
This is something i whipped up today for an international print exchange. Its digitally coloured at the moment, but the final will be my first effort at screenprinting. Oh boy!!

I have to send off 30 prints...and in return i get 30 back from the different artists involved all over the globe!!

*Oh and the theme is 'Love'.*

Nice one, Doug! I love the little wrestlers... They're so round!

That really rocks, Doug! I love your color scheme. And who wouldn't fall desperately for a singing skeleton? (unless you're a guy, or course... aHEM-- like me...)

Great work. :D

yeah, the wrestler angels are cute - it's interestng how some parts of the image become monotone (i.e. wrestlers and gun/holster)

were the colors related to something abour thr printing process? (limiteing the colors to a few?) or just the style for this piece?

cute cute cute. I can't believe how big his mouth opens when he sings - i can drive a car through that thing.

Luchadors! Alright!

I love the fact that he's balancing on that rock. That's cool. :)

Very nice, Doug! :) The rock he's standing on is in the same shape as a rose. Great use of subtle symbolism. :)

That's the most awesome skeleton I've ever seen! Really good job!

It's fantastic.

Have fun w/ the screenprinting. Expect some joys and frustrations, but I'm sure it'll be a really positive experience overall.

Very cool. I do wonder why his bride left him, though. She couldn't possibly have died because, well, they're skeletons...
