ok so i guess it's ok to post this guy here now . This is my sculpt for the Outer Space show..here we'll start from concept to ...eventual finish.
prelim sketchies
finalized sketch with colors.
rough sculpt over armature...trying to get a feel for proportions and scale
the asteroid base is done at this point..roughing up the tentacles...and the pig

The colored sketch is nice, but it could be great if it was composed right and had a really nice background.
As for the 3d model, the tentacles look really good if this is an amateur clay model but the astro-pig lacks a lot of definition. I say not finished, but it's got a lot of promise.

That is amazing. What is it made out of? I want to try this. What tools do you use. Can you give a tutorial?

Nucleardan: the sketch is just a loose idea for the sculpture , and this is just a work in progress. I apologise if i let anyone believe this was the final piece.
Rad Sechrist: It's mostly Super Sculpey ( a polymer clay ) you can find it in most Arts and craft stores. It is easy to use and you can bake it in your oven which is great. I may post the progrssion with a tutorial on my site when it's complete.
thanks everyone else I'll post more later today!

The rocks and tentacles look soo good! You have the same sketch book as me. I thought you needed to know that.
