There are all sorts of questions you could ask about the story behind this picture. That's why I like it.

It looks awesome!
So many interesting elements to look at, and wondering what the story is behind it: why does the guy have a bloodied knife at his belt, what is his relationship to the dark haired woman (superb hair by the way, how it drapes all over the room), etc...
Just wonderful :D

It looks really nice

But the layout kinda lacks, there is no focal point and no viewlines (what are they actually called*) to guide the eye anywhere, so the viewer feels a bit lost as to what they are supposed to be seeing, there being a bit too much scattered things doesn't seem to help either... in a few words, tehre's too much entropy in the image

Very Strong

I disagree about there not being a good focus. I feel very drawn toward the woman as the main subject and the rest of the scene almost literally emanates from her. I'm particularly drawn to the bowl in her lap (filled with blood?), and I expect that's about where a golden resting point is in the image.

Aside from that, the coloring and detail is amazing. Love, love, love the hair.
