This is supposed to be from the end of the Marvelous Land of Oz. Right as we find out that main character Tip is actually a spell created by the Wicked-Witch Mombi. She did this to hide the child-princess Ozma, so that the Wizard could take power in Oz.

The other characters are Jack-Pumpkinhead, Glinda the Royal Historian of Oz, and a flying-monkey.

I'm working on Oz-project, here's a couple more early images...

Shaun, you really have a mastery over soft rendering and edges. Amazing shit, man, to put it technically. I love nearly all of the designs of the characters, too. (The only thing that weirds me out is the kid's head. And it almost feels hubristic to criticize this.) It would be absolutely great to see a progression of this piece, especially as someone who struggles with rendering. (floaty demon head was a long struggle) It's a really charming, magical piece, and i'm glad that your technical ability makes it come alive rather than detract.
