Hey!!! thanks everybody!
Cave Monster, this illustration is made entirely digital (Illustrator CS and Photoshop CS) based on sketches for the main characters. It's all vector, later exported to Photoshop. I used some textures to color it. The orange you see actually is a picture of a burning candle, without focus. I don't know if you read in portuguese but if you want, you can check out this website where I posted a simple walkthrough.... but you can figure out with the images:
http://www.siblog.blogger.com.br/2005_0 ... chive.html
Scroll the page until you find something like this written: KAKO NOS MÍNIMOS DETALHES, which means something like "Kako in details", hehehehe... I wish I could post somthing larger... everything seems blury...
Anyway, Thank you guys... I'll post something later. Oh, and Nick, the "whirpool and waves" is one of my favorites. It's the Creation of Japan.

Ah interesting, I am unfamiliar with such stories. Something else for me to research into

Hmm maybe I shouldn't have tagged the piece 'whirlpool and waves' then

doesn't really seem to do it justice! haha
'the whirlpool n waves what made japan pretty like'... poetry
