Fire Tree

Post by Nick » Wed Oct 27, 2004 7:02 am

Something I rustled up today. I need to keep my mind off the fact that I'm gonna need my lower wisdom teeth extracted!*sniff*I wanted to keep this piece relatively simple.

Little version:

Scrolley version.

that's friggin awesome! i like the scoll version because of the surprise you get at the end- suddenly, there she is! i like the pose and the grass. the far arm took a little while to figure out, but overall it's a well put together piece!

This is just like that climactic scene in "Gone With the Wind"!

Lovely colors, Nick... Sorry about the tooth extraction. :(

Thanks everyone!

I absolutely love autumn, I did this piece based on a tree I can see from my window. It has these incredibly red leaves, but branches which are as black as night. Mind you after yesterdays bad weather it's just a stick now :?.......

By the way, thanks Neil. I actually got a call from the dentist this morning saying I need another xray, so heres my chance to convince the dentist that he's actually mistaken and I don't need them taken out.... yeah...maybe some of those Jedi mind tricks would come in handy......

Really nice. Love how the fallen leaves feel like little burning embers over the darker red part of the sky. Nice contrast with the blue: by keeping the bot mostly in silhouette, there's a nice feeling of something "mysterious" on top of that hill.
