Environment speed doodles (and a finished thingie)

Post by Finnegan » Sat Jul 17, 2004 9:04 pm

hehe... normally i'm not one to post 2 threads so close to each other, but i've got alot of catching up to do :D

so a while ago, i thought i'd draw a bunch of buildings and such to apply for some snazzy job. These are all really quick doodles (20 mins or less... not counting the 5 mins of pshop time on some).

absolutely wonderful! My favorite is bg8~ I can imagine myself looking at that off a balcony, alone, listening to the sounds of the night city! Beautiful moods in all of them~ <3

Very impressive backgrounds. I like theme a lot.
Will you put animation charaters on them ? Or at least just characters ?

wow... thanks everyone for your comments!

Amy - you're making me miss spending so much time in a big city (san fran). hehe

bannister - these were really just quick background ideas. i did however do alot of animation layout in school, so maybe some of that feel is carrying over into these :D thanks!

Kazu - dude, the gig is great. i can't believe how cool it is to be paid to draw for a living. it totally rules

I love the sense of being...unhurried, as it were, that I get from your stuff. Entrancing!

Nice bgs pieces. You got some great moods from your sketches, and the colored one, I almost expect people to start walking in any moment.

Great work!
