Daisy Kutter - for the SD Comic-Con...

Post by Kazu » Sun Jun 27, 2004 10:12 pm

Hey guys. This is an issue one alternate cover for the San Diego Comic-Con. The Viper guys wanted to print a small, special set just for the Convention, so if you guys want a copy with this cover, be sure to come out to San Diego!

Unfortunately, since I'm not going, I shall have to pay some exorberent fee on the collector's market for this nifty bit of artwork. Blast!

I also will not be going to San Diego, however if some were set aside, could I have one? The peice is really nice, especially the loose definition of the hat. I keep wanting to see a little of that whispy atmosphere repeated in the coat just so it's not an isolated aspect of the drawing. Again, nice work. :)

Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two.

nice pic man, i like the way the hat fades out into the bg color.

I can't believe SD is so close... and I still have saved no money.

Kazu,
This yet another example of why you have become one of my favorite artists! I love the subtle background elements that keep this from being the typical close up cover. awesome!

Nice stuff, Kazu. But did you have to make this cover slightly less cooler than the "actual" cover to issue 1? I don't exactly want to get two copies of DK #1, but then again, I can't wait 'til August for a copy!

Alternate covers makes Baby Jesus cry. :P
