This is my first try at a concept type painting. I've been wanting to do more paintings in photoshop for my comic From Death Til Now just creating epic style concept paintings. I did this one some what quickly. So I plan to post more here as I keep going on FDTN and other books. Let me know what you think!

Cool! Keep us updated on your progress - it looks like you're off to a great start with the digital painting already.

Thanks guys! I'm really enjoying learning it. I've always wanted to learn how to do this better. Too bad I didn't take more advantage of the digital painting class I had in college! Eh what better place than here, what better time than now.

Sorry, I forgot to say how much I love how this looks. I almost want to ask for the whole comic to be done this way if I didn't know that was impossible.
I'm my own breed of eccentric.

Nice work. You've captured the light of the scene really nicely.
Can I ask what the comic is about? I'm intrigued.

oooo really nice lighting, values, and colors. From here it's all about refining the drawing and working out your edges. I would say start at your focal area and work outwards, that way you can really stop at any time and you have a really solid image. Keep working within the value range you have set up, get some edge variation going, and have fun!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback!
Dark- Yeah it would be somewhat impossible to do the whole book this way, but I am still toying around with working in color.
Azzamckazza- Sure you can ask what its about! The comic is about two old friends journey to save the world. It really derives from my passion for alternative history, conspiracy and high fantasy. Check it out sometime and let me know what you think. the link is in my signature.
Jcaffoe- Thanks! I appreciate your thoughts. I've been looking at some of your more recent work on your blog and its coming out awesome!
femina- I ave no idea what you're talking about. lol
