Sample of Children's Book

Post by thirdeyeh » Sat May 17, 2008 8:35 pm

I wanted to get some feedback on a children's book my wife and I have been working on. She wrote a kid's book our cat when we first adopted him. It details all of the frustrations in training (or illusions of training a cat I guess in real life). It also deals with learning rules and understanding parents create rules to protect you. I've finished the first five pages, though that's kind of stretching it as I see these pages as first drafts. Typs/ rewrites are gonna be everywhere as well as redraws. I just wanted to hear some feedback on them from a group I admire a lot and that would be the flight group. Thanks.

Your cat is cool because he reads Bone.

I like the chalky visuals. My Mom's a kindergarten teacher, and this is the sort of thing that would draw her attention.
