Amulet - House on the Rock

Post by Kazu » Thu Nov 01, 2007 5:54 pm

This is a desktop made from one of the panels in Amulet. I'm probably going to do a couple more based on images in the book...

This looks so magical! I was one time in a canyon like this (without the house) and I can say, that it is a real magical place to be. Seeing waterfalls from high mountains come down like this makes your time stop. :D The one I saw was in Hardanger in Norway, there is three waterfalls that come from different directions and goes into one river at the bottom.

Good desktop, I am looking forward to read the comic. and later see the movie! He he! :D

Three things come to mind, not necessarily related :)

First, once again, amazing. I've been enjoying your work ever since I came across it a couple of years ago, and it never ceases to be amazing.

Second, I just imported the first four flight books and the first daisy kutter one, but I managed to miss amulet :( I'm very glad to hear about Flight Explorer; I have twin boys aged three, and they really liked the copper story in flight vol. 1 (hard not to like: it includes an airplane, trains, flying beasts of varied colours, a dog, and destruction), so I only expect greatness :)

Third, I took the 1280x960 and padded it with black to get something 9:6 but it is less than great, and I don't feel I can crop it... could you find time to add something 9:6? I can resize it, but I don't seem to be able to stretch it much.

Thank you! For everything!

Dude I made this my desktop image the sceond I saw it. Did you do your coloring for this book in Photoshop? Or did you use some of the other programs like Painter?

It just looks amazing. Very nice.

The largest I have is 1600, and you can download it here.

This is done in Photoshop. The original line drawing was done with pencil on an 11x14 piece of bristol. And yep, there will be prints available from Nucleus and they'll be available after the book's release party in January.

Thanks everyone! :D

I think I have more Kazu desktops in my rotation now than ones I've drawn myself.
