Out of Picture

Post by agent44 » Wed May 17, 2006 9:56 am

My studio mates here at BlueSky have put a book together, and it is breath taking. Out of Picture is a collection of short comic stories written and drawn by designers and story artists in the entertainment industry. As you can see from their ad in Previews (image below) there is no shortage of talent here. It’s an allstar line up including renowned artist Peter De Seve and a several soon-to-be household names. I would buy this book if it was just a collection their thumbnails and phone doodles, but each artist brought their A game and the book rocks. Every page is a master peice, and several have made into the Society of Illustrators show this year. Anyway, get your hands on a copy, ’cause it’s sure to sell out (low print run). And if you’re in the New York area come out to the launch party in June.

Looks awesome ! Too bad the launch isn't happening the weekend of MOCCA, I could've attented then.
Still I'll keep an eye out for that book. Do you know if it will be easily available at SDCC?
If not, there's always Amazon.

I asked, and they said they are planning on being at MOCCA and will have books there. The publisher isn't making SDCC a priority, but plans to do something big next year, with a second out of picture book.
