I just picked this up the other day on a whim, i guess it just came out. Absolutely freakin' gorgeous art, story brought a tear to my eye to be sure. Basically it's about immigration to a forgeign country, but what a country the man moves to!

most highly recommended.

I tracked down Shaun's website here: http://www.shauntan.net/
picked up the book from Powells, link here but you could probably find it elsewhere.

I too heartily endorse this beautiful book. Came out here in Australia almost a year ago now. Some of the art is breathtaking and the way he tells such a complex story with no words is a masterstroke. FIND AND LOOK!

You should also check out his books 'The Lost Thing' and "The Red Tree', both great little stories packed with insanely sublime art

Awesome. I have a copy of his book The Rabbits, and it's really cool too.

This book seems to be getting quite a bit of press. I just heard the author interviewed on PRI's "The World" today, with additional commentary by Scott McCloud.

Apparently the book is part of the curriculum in some elementary schools on the subject of immigration. Go comics go!
