I'm just hoping the movie distracts me enough so that I'm thinking about the film and the characters and not Heath because that would totally suck. However, I am incredibly excited. I've seen the first movie about ten times now, and I don't care what anybody says, Michael Caine is the best Alfred in the history of Alfreds.

^^ I still think that he should be wearing the old campy joker outfit because of it's offset pastel brightness, it's just creepy in its own right, instead of the whole dark modern washed out hair and deep tone clothing. Then again, that's just personal preference in costuming, I'm sure it'll win me over as the best Joker once I see it.
Oh hey, out of curriosity, I don't know much about the Dark Knight spin on Batman in terms of the graphic novel, but is there a Robin at all or did they leave him out?

They decided to leave him out. Nolan said himself that Robin is still a baby in his crib while his version of Batman is taking place. I'm not totally for that, because if done right, I know they can successfully translate Robin into the franchise. Watch the episodes of Batman: the Animated Series "Robin's Reckoning" and you'll see what I mean.
But I can understand the decision. The monstrosities that were "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin" pretty much ruined the possibility.

Yeah, that's what I thought, and for those reasons too. I think that they'd probably be able to pull it off if they just made the narrative third person limited in favor of Batman if Robin were to be introduced, that way there's no split in focus and the feeling of trying to do too much at once that were in those horrible last two films.
On the plus side, hopefully this rules out the appearance of Hally Berry as Catwoman in the film as well.

I'm pretty excited about the way they seem to use the caracter of Harvey Dent-Two Face in this movie! Finally something close to what the caracter is about, not that disapointing version with Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever. Lee Jones is a good actor, no doubt about that, but his interpretation was more in caracter of the Joker, silly and always laughing ! Not right in my mind !

I'll admit, two years ago, I was really skeptical about Ledger and how good this would be. I don't really love Batman Begins but everything about The Dark Knight looks and sounds fantastic!! Ledger is amazing. I also saw the bank scene on youtube and it was just incredibly well done. I can't wait to see this. IronMan, Hancock will be weak sauce compared to this. Now if Bale would only lighten his extra throaty "I have a cold" Batman voice...
