I want this to be good so bad. I'm not really sure there needed to be another Indy movie but now that we have no choice I'm pretty much begging for it to be decent.

Well the setting is certainly appropriate. Mesoamerican archeology used to be exactly like an Indiana Jones movie. Some Mesoamerican archaeologists still play it too fast an loose with their work I think.

I preferred one of the other proposed titles "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine" (The Temple of Doom had crystal stones in a giant skull, so this title seems a bit familar)

Having said that, I'm going to see this film regardless of title. and if it's bad I will force myself to enjoy it it by sheer willpower

Heh, exactly.

Also, greaser kid with a sword?? THAT - IS - AWESOME! Ford looks pretty good there too, contrary to some shots I've seen.

Thanks for sharing, Mr. Dowswell.

Very cool, very cool. It almost looks like it could be an illustration for a spin off series.

Another picture came out the other day as well which I thought was pretty nifty:

Oh yes, yeah it's a really great one that. It's going to be quite a event...this has to be the biggest thing since Phantom Menace, in terms of anticipation for a film...or...anticipation for one of the most famous heroes returning after such a long gap.

I love that painting and am kinda/sorta hoping I can get it hung on my wall someday - I wonder who did it?

Here's the 'official' word on the Star Wars stuff. I'd check out this web-doc video on it too, which showcases some of the pretty fantastic animation.
