Oh wow, I second that!

I only saw Twilight Samurai for the first time a couple weeks ago, and when I watched the interview supplements where Yamada mentions that he's working on another similar period movie, I got excited. And now here it is, patiently waiting for me at the library!

Oooh. I was just about to watch The Hidden Blade today, and then I ended up cooking dinner with Amy and playing a few rounds of Halo 3. I may in fact just watch it right now...

OHH!!! i saw that hidden blade movie last year or earlier this year. I quite liked it!!

Apparently there's a trilogy. The first being Twilight Samurai, the second is The Hidden Blade, which I saw and while I didn't like as much as Twilight, it was a spectacular movie nonetheless. A bit darker and more heartbreaking than the first installment.

The third movie is Love and Honor, with Takuya Kimura who was in Wong Kar-wai's 2046. It seems Yoji Yamada is taking a spin on the whole blind swordsman concept. Anyhow, Yamada said that after this, he will not make anymore samurai films.

Nothing about it on wikipedia, so I guess this will have to do.

I saw a film called "Blind Beast" on cable recently. It's Japanese title is "Moju".
If you are squeamish, DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE!

It is quite bizarre. It's about a blind sculptor who kidnaps a model because he believes she has the perfect body and needs to feel every nuance of her body to make a statue of her. Her abduction leads to mutually consenting masochism!

Shocking! And this film was made in 1969!

Well this is tough, everything I see influences me.

In no particular order (Just some reasons why they do)

V for Vendetta- Partly made me love the usage of swords

Children of Men- The refugee camp just wow

Alice in Wonderland- I might as well of had an acid trip lol jk drugs are dumb.

Mad Max- Post apocalyptic B movies is what I live for lol jk.

The Great Mouse Detective- "Oh I can just see the look on his smug face!" an amazing quote and now I have 2 go watch that film.

Spirited Away- So creep ed out in a cute way.

Ed Wood- One of those movies I love but think is so stupid.

Willy Wonka- The original, Gene Wilder, I would go as far as to say top 5 greatest performances in cinema history.

The Dark Knight- Everything just one word 4 that- WOW.

Ferris Beular's Day Off- My favorite movie and excellent job breaking the 4th wall
