It Can Only Get Worse - sample pages

Post by Sanaril » Thu Mar 08, 2007 8:05 am

Sample pages from an original story I'd love to turn into a web comic some day... maybe :)

I find writing and designing everything from nothing is fun, but then I slack a lot on following through with finished pages. I have so many ideas in half formed states like that.... blah.

Wonderful manga-ish style there, and really sharp, in-your-face dialogue. The way you do sound effects is interesting, too. I'd like to see it made into a webcomic.

Thanks for the nice comments everybody! I'll certainly try to put more time into these characters some day.

And I really appreciate your comment Mike. My friend Nick said you're a great guy and he really digs your work so I was happy to see that you post here too :) (Nick Bradshaw- we went to college together)

As everyone else's said, these are tres slick. The action's easy enough to follow, and the attention to detail is alluring as all get-out. However... and this is a little thing, I guess:

I don't like the texture on the jeans. It looks really similar to the texture you're using in some of the background shots. And to be frank, I think it takes away from the contrast you'd have with the simple light/dark two-tone shade you have elsewhere.

That's really the only nit, I got to pick. And like i said, it's a little one. The production here is great! And I love the wobbly little word balloons.

You do good.

Galactus: Nit pick away! All nit picking is great. :) Little things I never notice can turn into bigger things if I keep doing it.

And thanks again Joseph :D
