Hey fu! That's great, glad it's of interest/use. I'll be trying to put up some more in-depth tutorials soon which look at more specific colouring techniques, as well as cleaning pencils, designing complex environments etc. Hope they prove to be a good source of inspiration for your own work! Cheers!

Well, here we are then, the weekend calls, and I'm off to see my bro, Bob, and our webmaster general Marky this weekend!! With all the Blink boys together for a few days you just KNOW the ideas are gonna fly, so I'm looking forward to diving into that ole' Blink melting pot! In the meantime, I wanted to post another pencils panel from MM11. This shot exemplifies just why I consider Bob's writing to be absolutely perfect! When I read a script that describes a single panel with an 11-stage sequence of Reggy, Chester and Fikov fighting with Sebastian the Bat for Dang's Whirdly Staff whilst on the back of Kenneth, the other Bat, flying precariously over the rooftops of Happy Hippy Dale, I just think: THIS is what comics are about! Here's to you bro! You're a genius, keep this mad stuff coming, there's nothing I'd rather draw!

A couple of ONITC web flyers here, one using a panel you've seen before, the other using a new 'un. The full colour version of the second image can be seen over at ONE NIGHT IN THE CITY, along with all the other panels so far in sequence, of course.

Waw ! Incredible. All your works are so good !
one question :
Do you make money with your comics ? I mean, can you live with making comics ?

Hey Ian! Thank you sooo much man!! So glad you're enjoying this stuff! In answer to your question; yes, you certainly can, but you have to be prepared to put in a lot of work, and you mustn't expect overnight success. Comics (and in particular indie comics) are a slow-burner, so expect a slow-build. That can be the most enjoyable part of the process though, as your creations begins to gain a momentum of their own, and you can concentrate on just producing great titles, as opposed to having to mess around with marketing an nonsense like that.

Now then, after the confusing nature of Friday's piece, here's one that's a little more straight forward, albeit with some elements of the image missing! Here's the Gullivans getting a bit of a shock whilst in the middle of a nice little sit-down meal! Meow! Sound effects and some vector-based action lines will eventually go into the final inks to make this pic complete, but for now, I hope you enjoy the pencils!

Hey Hxero! Thank you so much! Love your line work on the splash in your thread by the way, so cleeeeean! Many thanks for the kind post!

Okay, folks, so I've been meaning to do another lil' tutorial for a while now, and I've actually got several backed up, including one on painting rain, and another on creating complex interior environments, but today we're gonna start with something a little more basic. For those of you who find this a bit boring I apologise, but we've had LOADS of questions to the site about our process for creating a normal B&W page recently, so I thought I'd start with that. Here then, are the first two steps, the next four will go up randomly over the next few days, so be sure to keep checking in.

Hope this is of interest to someone out there!

Lorenzo!

Hey Hxero! At the moment the tutorials that are available are in this thread (you'll have to search back to find 'em), but yes, there will be a section on our website soon where they'll all be in one place for easy viewing/reference. Will let you know when that goes up (with an announcement in this thread) cheers, pal, hope this stuff can be of help to some of your guys! Oh, and no probs on the comment on your work, it's really very good!!

On we go, lettering and pencilling!

Final steps! In my opinion, the pencilled page is nicer than the inks, but then, that's why I'm doing MOON! all in pencils! Hoho! Hope this has been an interesting little journey, folks! More new images VERY soon!

Thanks for posting this! I really love seeing how other people work. And I dig your use of fonts in general big-time. 8)

Hey Vince, good to see you pal, how's the hot rod scene going out there, bud? No probs, man, glad you found the tute' interesting, and my bro will be rather chuffed to here you like his font choices, as he takes a lot of time selecting them to compliment the line work. Cheers!

I was planning out the updates and images I'll be posting up here in the Blink thread for October this weekend, and I gotta say, you guys got some FUN stuff coming!!! Hehe! Won't say any more, but I'd advise you check in on a daily basis, pals! Wheee!

So, it's a CON month, which can only mean one thing, lots and lots of new things! First up, here's the cover to the 5th MOON! Sketchbook, which will be free for every £10 spent at the Blink Twice stand over the weekend of the 28th-29th October at the LONDON MCM EXPO (it's a link, guys!). This little gem in miniature form will be packed with 12 pages of scetches, scribblings, and other such delights from the world of MOON! More on this soon, for now, just check out the cov!

Lorenzo!

Hey Rohwer! Sorry, no pal, they're only available at the con, just thought you folks might like to see the cover! MOON! will be launched internationally next year, so if you dig the title, you'll be able to get it from your local comic book shop. In the meantime, there'll be near-daily images going up here in the Blink thread to keep you going! Cheers, pal!

I've posted a lot of B&W stuff recently, which is all well and good, but for those of you who like the colours, let's go back to that Girl in the City...
