Copper - "Ballads"

Post by Kean » Tue Nov 18, 2003 2:56 pm

*gasp*

Oooh look, a new Copper comic!

But could it be? Continuity between Copper comics? Who will Copper end up with, The Girl in the Bubble, or the mysterious Girl with Sunglasses?

Oh, the suspense! The humanity!

:)

I like the bubble girl. She has the one quality all men look for in a girl. She is unatainable.

Hm the glasses girl seems pretty unattainable too... The bubble girl is kind of dangerous!

Sigh this is really beautiful Kazu.. I'll sheepishly post some of my own comics now.

Ah, yes. That quality above all others is most definitely what I look for in a girl -- or at least the ones I happen to fall for...

hehe. When I drew this one, I felt like I was working on the weakest strip, but the overwhelming positive response in my inbox proves I have no idea what I'm doing. :)

Action-wise, you didn't have much to draw, and I like your stuff with more movement for sure--but the character moment is very satisfying nonetheless. I also love how Copper's world is full of weird settings and stuff (people in bubbles!)

I think it's good too. WHat's that giant pink thing they're on?

Man, I don't know! I just draw this stuff. Hehe. I suppose it's like a canyon wall, which was going to have a plain dirt color to it, but then I decided to go with the original color palette from the Bubbles comic to tie it together. It's also a compositional tribute to one of my favorite Krazy Kat comics. (The story themes run along the same lines, too)

fantastic, as always!

I don't think there is a guy in the world that can't relate to the latest comic.
