A new project I'm workin on

I have never been a hunter, but I loved this little vignette. I am an angler, though, so I kind of understand the impulse you describe. I think that there's a misconception that hunting, fishing etc. are mean-spiritied or destructive, and I dispute the claim, as you seem to do.

Tha art, as ever, has a very nice, simple, but really attractive quality to it which I've consistently liked. It's similar i some respects to Roberta Gregory (I saw some of her stuff in Drawn and Quarterly a while back). I took issue with your depiction of New York City, once - but we can't agree on everything! Either way, keep it up - I'd like to see where this project goes.

Your subject matter is very appealing. I wanted to see more about the feeling of holding that heart. Why did it feel right? Was there any guilt popping up in your mind later on? Was there a part of you that was trying to please your father? I am not trying to judge you. I am not expecting you to answer these questions here. Your beginning made me very curious about the development of your story. If you post the upcoming pages I would love to follow it.
