Finally back! I'm about 5 pages from finishing all line work for book 1, but I wanted to get back to updates.

Ridiculous amount of improvement on your work just altogether. Great stuff, Michael!

Thanks, Joost!

I've been enjoying your work as well.
This page was quite fun. Took quite a while longer than I expected, but overall really pleased. This is really my attempt at a "Tivo" moment. Lots of little tidbits in this shot.

I like the black-and-white shading - I've used a similar palette myself on Hotel Metropolitan and it can be quite effective, as it is here. Far out work, here, man!

Thanks guys! I like the black and white look too, but I think I am going to try book 2 in color. I just have such a hankering to make this thing a color book. At least to see how it goes.

There's a lot of confidence in these pages. I admire how long you've stuck with this. Your hard work is paying off!

Thanks, Seth! I'm really glad I've stuck with it, as it's really build a lot of confidence that I can do this sort of thing.

Hmm..looks familiar.
I've gotta say, I agree that the grayscale palette has really helped the feel of the story. I mean, you've had it in the earlier pages, but I can see your experience as a painter showing through more and more. I feel like I need to take a day and read the whole thing from start to finish--I've just been getting it in bits and pieces. Keep it up man.

Thanks Ryan! I've really appreciated having you on board to help out some. Let me know your thoughts when you give it all a reread.

This scene is finally winding down to it's final parts and then we'll be racing off towards the end of book 1. Cue act 3!
