That’s right… another webcomic for your reading pleasure. I've posted some previews of some of this on here before, but it’s exciting to finally have ALL these stories up in their entirety on the web. We’re looking forward to hearing your reactions to them. Random Ink is the first comic we published back in 2005, and it’s great to have this anthology where we can do any style of comics we want. Hopefully, you enjoy the variety, too!

Here's the first page from each story. Just click on one to read the whole thing!

Be sure to poke around the site. The stories page will give you a quick overview of the different tales on there. You can check out some character sketches and pin-ups, as well as download some new free wallpapers and more.

And here’s the big news… every Tuesday for the next six weeks we will be posting a new complete story on the Random Ink site. Currently you can read all the stories from Random Ink #1, but starting next week you will begin to see the ones from #2. And they’re all in FULL-COLOR! So be sure to check back then (or subscribe to our RSS feed), because we’ve got a lot more to show you!

This is very diverse and VERY well-rendered work. I dig it in a major way! 'Dark was the Night' is cut from the same cloth as R. Crumb's jazzman bio-comix, I think? And 'Intervention' seems very Silver Age, to me, with the degree of sharpness and definition in the linework, and the heavy light and drark contrasts.

This is really quite groovy.

Hey, thanks, man! Yeah, I love those Crumb stories, too. I'm trying to get a collection of them. I never thought of "Intervention" as Silver Age, but I can see what you mean. I hope you enjoy the other stories we put up as much as those two.

Alright, it's Tuesday... so here's a new story. I've been eager to share this one for a long time!

(Click on an image if you want to read the rest of the story.)

Hey, this week's Random Ink story is up. This time it's the return of the Vlad Squad, and this time in color! I drew this one and wrote it with my friend Elton Gahr, who came up with the original idea for the Vlad Squad.

Hope you like it!

Nice stuff Seth - I enjoyed Road Block, nice crisp art and very humourous (I've always liked anything that made vampires look pretentious). Conclusion could be a bit stronger, but good fun.

I like the art of Wringer - quite enjoyably sparse, which goes well with the absence of dialogue. Storywise it's a little bit of the Games Workshop's Blood Bowl..!

Thanks! That's the great thing about this anthology... the freedom to switch around like that.

This week's Random Ink story is a four-page slice-of-life by Matt Meyers. Here's the first page (click to read the whole thing, of course):

I posted a new one-page comic on the Random Ink site. This one is a jam comic by Matt Meyers and myself. Matt penciled the first, third, and fourth rows, and I did the second and fifth. Matt inked the whole thing. We spent a lot more time on it than we do no most of our jam comics. It’s always a blast to collaborate like this.

Stay tuned for another one next week!

I posted another one page jam comic on the Random Ink site. This one is called "Goblins Hate Fairies", and it was also created by Matt Meyers and myself. Hope you enjoy!

"Spelunked" came out of trying to challenge myself to create an entertaining one-page story. I like the idea of stories with no panels, too. Some people get confused on the dialogue order, which I’ll definitely keep in mind if I do something like this again. These two were a blast to write!

(Some of you might remember seeing an earlier version of this page quite a while ago. I went back and added some gray tones to it before posting it to Random Ink.)

This page will see print in the upcoming Random Ink #3 (more about that very soon)!
