Here's the cover to chapter 3: Islands. I'm still learning so much we comes to designing these things.

=D I can't wait. Neat cover though, it makes them look like gods in a way ^^

Thanks Dark! Yeah my friend said the same thing. It's really because the chapter is dealing with the idea of no man being an island. I had to figure a way to have the island and them both in there. Here's the latest page:

Oh, so it's metaphoric, nice! Ooo, wow, I like that little focus trick, sweet for an opening. Did that just come to mind or was that from something else?

Um I had the idea for the reflection early on when I was writing the chapter. I wanted to create something that felt very cinematic. Playing with depth focus. I think I could probably take it one step further, but I'm very happy with it.

Maybe add his shadow around the image a little bit?

Sorry I haven't updated here in a bit. Here they be.
A noteworthy observation given by a friend pointed out that I had used too many stars in the American flag for the time period. This will be corrected. I'm a bit ashamed I missed it when doing my research. Oh well.

=D That's a very keen observation, haha. This flashback bit is actually shaping up to be really cool, oh and I also caught up with all of FDTN a couple weeks ago during a down time in between classes, so now I can eagerly wait every single page as it happens.

Well, after being quite busy becoming a father and working on other projects, I am back at normal updates on this beast. Let me know what you think:

The only problem I have with this page is the whole "My space!" thing...the spacing and caps are so close together that I at first read that as "Myspace!" and it ruined the moment for me...but I know that's not intentional.

it is one of those moments that gets ruined by the way I placed it and the fact that its a modern saying now too. There are a few things in these pages that need redoing.

I've always enjoyed this story, and I think your drawing style really works with it. I've been around elders for most of my life, and you seem to just get it, facial emotions and all.
Just wanted to let you know. I've seen a lot of web comics just stop before the writer finishes it. hope I can see the end of this one.
keep up the good work

Wow thanks ComaCanadian! I really appreciate your comments. This story is really close to my heart, so I have full intentions of finishing it. Come hell or high water. The question is, how long will it take? This is a pretty big story.
Here's the latest page. I'm also trying a new font and hand drawing my word baloons by hand in Photoshop. I have listened to everyone's thoughts on my lettering, its really been just trying to find something that works. I think I may have found it. Let me know what you think.

I liked to old font a lot, but I like this new one better for some reason. Still maintains it's grittyness but looks more professional. Ah, the friends are reunited

. Love the backgrounds and page composition too.
Question being: What are the mysterious footprints in front of George?
