It's funny, but I don't think I totally get it--don't the players have multiple lives too? Is this some sort of in-joke regarding a new version of Castlevania that I haven't played yet??

Neil - yeeaah, I guess. I was thinking mostly about the whole monsters-respawn-when-you-leave-the-room garbage. Or perhaps "thinking" is too strong a word.

I agree, I was a little bit confused. The whole thing is just totally bizarre,which is what I love about it, but there could be some sort of hint that the monster is "respawning"

Also, the whole stabbing the girl thing is odd, but funny, maybe too realistic. Anyway I liked it a lot. just being nitpicky.
