Just finished this short story recently and i kept a record of the drawing process for anyone interested.

Its one of a series of silly short stories that take place on a subway ride. I started the series on my site a few years ago and I'm trying to slowly chip away at it until it's done.

This one's about religion. I dont think it'll ruffle any feathers (it's pretty goofy) but if it does, my apologies in advance. Youve been warned

An amusing comic! Thanks for posting your process! May I ask the process between the pencils and the b/w? Is it digitally done or with ink or some combo of the two?

Nice work! I was confused by one point: is the evangelical man in cahoots with the other religious figures? Was it all a plan to get the main character to convert to something, anything?

It's about 98% inked by hand, with some finessing and fudging in photoshop at the end.

And no, they weren't in cahoots. Think of it this way, have you ever worked as a salesperson in a store and came on too strong to a customer and they left without buying anything? Same deal. If one salesperson scares away the customer, the other sales people get pissed

Oh okay. That makes sense. I think I expected more animosity between them after the main character runs away.

What do you use to ink? The lines are so clean!

its well drawn and the story makes sense, but I didn't have any kind of emotional response to it. My first thought was "where does this take place" because it doesn't look like any subway I've been on-- second, I wondered why Sammy was singled out. Third, Sammy wasn't really relatable, I mean he was totally a Goth type dude, which is cool but that left me with no one to relate to.

Anyway like I said it's well done and can't wait to see more stuff.
