Hey ho! I bring you L I M B O

http://www.limbogame.org/

This just oozes character. Just proves to show that games don't have to be all hyper-realistic to be utterly captivating. I'd love to work on something like this ^____^

Wow, very creative way to make a game good looking.
Seems to be normal 2-D, the movements and especially the sound is amazing!

Nice catch! :D

This seems like one of those games that could get REALLY frustrating easily... but it still looks really neat.

By the missing eye of Odin! This looks spectacular. I really want to play it now.

Glad you like what see guys. There's a great weight to the animations and a very rich atmosphere. I'm interested to see what comes of this ^__^

What what? Where did this come from? How do I capture this and use it to fill the gaping void in my gaming life?

***So much character oozed from the trailer that I am now stuck to the floor. Thanks a lot, Limbo!

Very cool. Who is making this? Is it going to be on normal gaming platforms?

from what i've heard i believe it's going to be released on the Wii.

thanks for posting the link! i was going to put this up more because i thought people here would appreciate the detail being given into the game. and if there really is no music, and that's the only background noise you here.. this looks like a good game to play with the lights off. :)

No worries! As soon as i saw this trailer I thought to myself; I know which forum might get a kick out of this art style :) It really is beautiful.

I didn't know which platform it was coming out on, I certainly hope it is the Wii. Used with their controllers, this could make for some pretty intense gameplay. I haven't owned a console in years, but I'm definitely getting a Wii as in IMO it's the only one of the three next gens that tries to break the mould. If Limbo will be on Wii then that's the icing on the cake.

Man this would be a good game to play with the lights off. Shame it's not out for Halloween!

That looks awesome. Coming out on the Wii is it? They need more info on their site.

Well the Wii is somewhat speculation, though it does make sense. Graphically the Wii can't compete with the other two, so innovative games like Limbo which don't rely on such things are what will give the Wii it's edge.

I guess they're still a way off completion, they're still trying to build up hype, relying on word of mouth; that would be one explanation for the lack of info :)

Wow. Everywhere I look, I see a link for Limbo. If it's not pick up by anyone right now, it will be soon!

It would be sweet if he made it with the XNA Game Studio Express. That way it would be available for all those other people who own a PC or an Xbox. Why should Wii have all the fun! lol :D

Wow, so simple yet so full of life. I'd really like to do that to my art, cut out everything that isn't necessary.
