Hey everybody. I am one of the editors of Anchorbird, a collaborative webcomic organized on Penciljack.com. We recently finished the first chapter (64 half-pages), and we're looking to solidify a roster of artists and editors for chapter two.
You can read Anchorbird here:
http://www.anchorbird.comArtistsArtists need to be able to turn in a fully colored and lettered half-page (9"x7"). Whether you ink your page is up to you, but colors and letters are mandatory.
When you participate in Anchorbird, you draw up a rough thumbnail of what you plan on doing with your half-page, and then it's up for editorial discussion for 12 hours. Once your half-page has been approved, you have 14 days to finish the artwork. You can participate as much or as little in Anchorbird as you like (you post a placeholder when you want to do a page), but anyone who hasn't participated in more than 30 days is subject to being replaced by another artist.
EditorsWe need three editors whose job it will be to look over thumbnail roughs and suggest changes or point out contradictions. You do not necessarily have to be a participant in Anchorbird or even an artist. You just need to know how to create a compelling story. This is not a writing job... every participant is responsible for writing their own half-pages. You'll just be making sure their half-page makes sense within the context of the whole story.
If either of these jobs sound like something you'd like to do, PM me or email me at
ewen.scott@gmail.com. Be aware this is
not a paying gig.
