tablet PC upgrade

Post by geoff_sebesta » Wed Oct 29, 2008 4:56 pm

I have a Gateway M275 and I love it, the best computer I've ever owned. It's survived three cross-country bicycle trips and two Rainbow Gatherings and three years of eight-hour daily drawing workouts, and it still works great.

But things are going well and I'm thinking of getting a second tablet sometime, looking at what's out there. I'm still not rich, but I might be able to drop a couple thousand. What's a really good tablet right now? My main considerations are:

weight
the ability to handle large color files on Photoshop
a slightly better screen (the M275 can only be properly seen from one angle)
better pressure sensitivity with the stylus

I'm very interested in those touchscreens that I see on CNN and etc. Does anyone know how well they work for drawing?

I have an HP touchscreen, I like it, but it's/they are overrated.
