Sorry for such an image heavy post!
But I figured since several Flight regulars had art in the new Avatar: The Last Airbender magazine (on newsstands now!) that it would be fun to share some pages here. Hope the artists don't mind! It was a huge thrill to work on this magazine since I'm a huge fan of the cartoon show and was able to work with close friends and awesome cartoonists! And I'm really proud of the final product!

I finally found a copy and I'm reading it now. It's pretty cool! Maybe I should watch the show some time?

Oh, wow! This looks really good...

Hopefully, Barnes & Nobles will still have a few issues in stock.

I managed to pick up an issue the other day. The stories and art were fantastic! You can really feel the love everyone has for the series. Is there an issue #3 on the way?

Thanks!!
No plans for a 3rd magazine yet. Really depends on how this one sells. Avatar still isn't a household name like Spongebob so we have to be careful in these hard times (for the kids magazine biz). But if the numbers are strong enough I'm going to push to do a magazine that wraps up loose ends after the Series Finale next year.

We are doing a series of mini-comics that get packaged in with the Season 3 individual dvds. Johane drew those too! We did something similar last year and they were drawn by Justin Ridge (also a Flight alumni and former story artist from the show)

It will be worth your time. Especially the second half of Season 2 (pretty much once Toph joins the cast it's ALL GOOD).
I'm biased cuz I'm on payroll...but honestly I was very skeptic of the show before I watched it.
But I really believe it is one of the smartest, well planed out and action packed kids shows produced ever! I get excited just thinking about it sometimes.

Wow, they are all great. I love what each style has to bring to the Avatar story. Amazing stuff, guys.

So everyone keeps saying! I even know of one local teacher who has Avatar posters up everywhere and is getting her class to do a big project based on Avatar. For me it's just a matter of finding the time to track down the series. But I will.

I hope it does well and that includes everyone involved. Avatar is better than anything I had as a kid. I'm really look forward to getting season 3 on dvd. Is it possible to back order the previous Avatar comic?

I do hope the sales of the magazine did well. Any numbers back yet? If there is any chances at a third magazine, count me in!!
