The Earthsea trilogy by Ursula K. LeGuin is great, and it's not typical fantasy either... I don't know how to describe it.

(I also like the Alvin Maker series as well as everything by Orson Scott Card.)

Granted, he eventually brings balance to the force... I heard talk that he brought balance to the force by killing the Emporer in Return of the Jedi. But didn't he actually bring balance when he killed all of the Jedi except for two, to match the two Sith? (The good and the bad equal out, like bala...

Holy Crap! That was nice. As first I was doubting the linework on the figures mixed with the background, but I changed my mind almost instantly, it's great.

Re: GREAT START

I really like what you have done so far. I would pick this book up for sure. I do week long mission trips with my youth group in the inner city and I know what kind of an exsperience that can be. I cant imagine what it would be like to go over see to another country. I'm not sure how similar my mis...

Here's a new one. http://mikelaughead.com/XtremeArtwork/Sketches/LaMar.jpg These are ink drawings done with a brush, then sometimes colored in photoshop with a wacom tablet. I am working on a comic right now, and I found that if I just start drawing or inking the comic as soon as I sit down, the fir...

I felt like this was a kind of first episode or something. I think in their next adventure they will start traveling to play other teams. One of my favorite ideas is the team from Teotihuacan. (The only sculpture they had their were huge, 10 ton, blocky women.) I think it would be funny.

I would say before moving to photoshop, you should work on your basic drawing skills. Consider taking an art class where you loosen up and draw nude figures or even set up a still life in your own home and draw that. If you don't draw very often, charcoal is a great medium to start with. Good luck ...

I enjoyed it a lot. (I thought the music would be distracting, but it was nice that it was mood music.) Nice story flow as well.

they use adobe photoshop ^_^ n/m my co-worker is giving me his old one. Ouch... you probably shouldn't tell a bunch of mac users that you are going to steal software, especially the software that allows them to have a career. You might want to see if your school has a computer with Adobe Photoshop ...
